I was involved in multidisciplinary research projects and got a PhD; as data manager, data steward and team lead, I used to guide researchers and research supporters. I used to be employed at 4TU.ResearchData, Delft University of Technology and Deltares. Since June 2023, among others I have been working as a national liaison Implementation Network L-DCCs for SURF. I am striving for collaboration and connection with stakeholders to come to a better result. It is important to me to approach data management from the perspective of the researcher, where awareness, information provision, availability of tools, support and training need to be in balance. I am good at getting people on board and working together towards an achievable goal. I value standards and respect and keep my agreements. ADDED VALUE The result of my work as a consultant is that data management is more visible and support staff performs more effectively. As a result, more research data is disclosed FAIR and openly. Researchers are starting to see the added value of data management and no longer label it as an administrative obligation. My underlying drive is the social interest in making scientific research better, more efficient and reusable.
